Dry-cleaning Versus  Regular Home Laundry

These hints help to preserve your clothes and enable them to last for a long time for you, notwithstanding, where you bought those clothes; whether in our store or somewhere else.

Dry-cleaning is very similar to regular home laundry, but in dry-cleaning a liquid solvent is used to clean your clothes instead of water and detergent used in regular home laundry machines. It is called "dry-cleaning" because the liquid solvent contains little or no water. Your clothes do get wet, but the liquid solvent used, evaporates much more quickly than water.

The fundamental difference between dry cleaning and laundry is that dry-cleaning does not use water while machine laundry uses water. Most dry cleaners use chemical solvents to get rid of stains like pen ink while laundry  process uses gentler soaps and detergents

Taking Care of Your apparel

  • Don’t dry-clean your t-shirts and allover print apparels.
  • Use your regular home laundry machine to wash them.
  • Wash your apparels inside-out.
  • It is a good practice to wash apparels of similar colors.
  • Be sure to set your home laundry machine temperature to "COLD".
  • Don’t use bleach on your apparels like T-shits and allover printed apparels.
  • For your T-shirts and allover printed apparel, always iron them with low heat setting.

Summary

Ensure that your apparel are machine-washed cold, inside-out on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and like colors preferably. Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary.
